GeoWarehouse 2009 - Teranet - Ryan Poyntz
GeoWarehouse links various sources of both spatial and non-spatial data into a seamless integrated web application facilitating a one-stop shop for our users to access Land Registry data, property mapping, Bing maps, aerial imagery and streetscape data. Teranet has re-designed the GeoWarehouse application to better meet the needs of land professionals. Integrating third party applications (I.e. Land Information Ontario- Imagery 2010 - Ministry of Natural Resources - Mike Robertson
Land Information Ontario (LIO) has coordinated imagery acquisition funding partnerships across areas of Ontario for a number of years. LIO is now on a path to adopt an Imagery Strategy that will help establish a predictable, sustainable schedule to update high resolution imagery on a regular basis. One of the primary goals of the LIO Imagery Strategy is to allow potential partners to plan and budget for those partnership based approached acquisitions. Through the development of public and private sector partnerships, and the funding model that has been adopted for these projects, significant cost savings can be realized by all organizations participating in these projects. This presentation will review some of the projects that have recently been completed as well as what is being planned for 2010.
Beyond Orthophotos Mapping Hydrology and DTM - Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) - Graham Smith Geomatics Coordinator
Beyond Orthophotos - Mapping Hydrology and DTM using a Digital Stereoplotter and Aerial Photography: The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) has acquired a Summit Evolution Stereoplotter from DAT/EM and setup digital stereo models for the entire Lake Erie Region for Source Protection using airphotos from the 2006 SWOOP project. Work is underway to capture new surface hydrology mapping using the stereo system. Work is also underway to develop a new Digital Terrain Model (DTM) using pixel-correlation software to render automatic terrain data. This presentation will review the system, the methodology being used and some of the promising early results of the technology.
